FlexGE students are provided a secure BYU email account, which is the official way the university communicates with messages about registration, scholarships, financial accounts, holds, and more will be sent to this address—not your personal email. To stay informed and avoid missing important updates, check your BYU email regularly as soon as you’re admitted to FlexGE.

Wi-Fi
Stay connected wherever you learn with Eduroam, BYU’s high-speed, encrypted Wi-Fi network. Available on campus, on UTA’s FrontRunner, and at the BYU Salt Lake Center, Eduroam gives you secure access to the internet and campus resources like printers and network drives. Connect once and enjoy seamless access across these locations.
Free apps
As a BYU FlexGE student, you have free access to a variety of helpful software apps, including Microsoft 365, Box, Adobe Express and Creative Cloud, and other cloud-based tools. These valuable tools can support your coursework and projects, so be sure to explore and take advantage of them to enhance your learning experience.


Computer
Need a computer? You can use campus computer labs, or you can rent or buy a laptop. If you're leaving on a mission soon, consider waiting to buy, as technology changes quickly. The BYU Office of Information Technology rents PCs and Macs for free on a first-come basis. If you're buying a computer, the BYU Store offers tax-free pricing, academic discounts, and an Apple-authorized repair center.
