BYU FlexGE Advisors
Get help navigating the FlexGE program and get on the right track to discover a major and career path that is right for you. Advisors can also guide your efforts to transfer to BYU or another university. We recommend that every student meet with a FlexGE academic advisor at least once a year.
Major Advisors
If you already know what you want to select for your major, meeting with an advisor for that major can help you prepare. Major advisors can give you specialized advisement on course sequencing, graduation requirements, and career opportunities.
Choosing a Major
FlexGE students cannot declare a major but knowing what you want to major in can be very helpful when planning your classes. We highly recommend that students who are unsure about a major take STDEV 117 Career Exploration. This class will help you become more aware of your skills, interests, and desires as well as what majors and careers would be the best fit for you. The University Advisement Center also has great resources for choosing a major and career.
