Salt Lake Center Transportation
Most FlexGE students take classes at the BYU Salt Lake Center in addition to evening classes on campus in Provo. Public transportation makes getting there easy and your student ID lets you ride for free! The FrontRunner commuter train has free Wi-Fi and tables with charging stations. The train ride is about one hour—perfect for a good homework session.
To get from BYU campus in Provo to the BYU Salt Lake Center:
- Take the UVX bus to the Provo or Orem FrontRunner train station (you can also drive and park at the station).
- Ride the FrontRunner train to the North Temple station.
- Walk one block east to the BYU Salt Lake Center.
You can also park for free in the BYU Salt Lake Center parking garage with your student ID.
Provo Transportation
The UTA Utah Valley Express (UVX) bus connects BYU with great shopping and attractions in the Provo/Orem area. The bus also goes to the Provo and Orem FrontRunner train stations. Buses leave about every 10 minutes.
Campus Shuttle
FlexGE students are eligible for the free campus shuttle called The Ryde. All you need to do is show your BYU ID. Multiple routes shuttle students from housing around BYU to the heart of campus in minutes.
Campus Parking
FlexGE students are eligible to park on Provo campus in free or paid student parking lots. Vehicles must be registered with Parking Services.
