For many years the BYU Evening Classes, BYU Salt Lake Center, and spring/summer Visiting Students programs provided an opportunity for students not admitted to BYU to take BYU classes for university credit. In 2020, BYU Continuing Education merged these three programs to create BYU FlexGE. This consolidation expanded the reach of BYU’s transformative education to even more young people in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. BYU seeks to develop students of faith, intellect, and character who have the skills and the desire to continue learning and to serve others throughout their lives. The FlexGE program seeks to provide that life-changing experience to an even broader audience.
Mission
We extend the opportunity for a BYU education and experience to more students as they begin their higher education.
Vision
We aim to provide a premier freshmen experience to university students in the Church.
